  • ·     In Death Valley, California there is a phenomenon that is called ‘Sailing Stones’. As the name suggests there is a strange occurrence that has puzzled many scientists form years. Rocks sliding across the floor by themselves. An explanation has not yet been provided as no-one has ever seen to rocks move.

·  Alaska. The home to one of the most beautiful and natural places on the Earth: Ice caves. The Alaskan Mendenhall ice caves are known for their beauty. The glacier is 12 miles long and is located 12 miles from Down-town Juneau.

Random Haul

Haul

So, last Sunday I went to down with one of my best mates. We didn't go to buy anything specific but I managed to come home with less money in my pocket.

The first thing I bought was from Storm. I managed to get my hands on a pair of skull braces, or suspenders (depending on where you are from). I love them to pieces and they only cost me £5.

The next place that I went to was Lush. I bought three different products that smell gorgeous and look beautiful. The first thing that I had to pick up was the unicorn horn. Many people love this and it as many people say it is. It is a bubble bar which means you crumble it under the tap and watch your bath fill with bubbles. The unicorn horn is £3.25.

The second lush thing I bought was the ‘Granny takes a dip’ bath bomb. This is my personal favourite product in the whole of lush and I pick it up every time I go to Lush. This bath bomb is £3.35 and it makes you bath look wonderful and you smell gorgeous.

The Last Lush thing I bought was the butterball which costs £2.65; I picked this up because it helps to treat stress and relieves anger. Also it helps dry and sensitive skin so it makes it perfect for those winter months.

The next shop that I went to was Primark. I don’t usually like that type of shop as they tend to be very crowded but I am very glad that  I went in because I managed to pick up a new silicon phone case which was only £1 and some earphones that were also only £1. Both of these are from ‘Atmosphere’.

Also when I was in Primark I managed to find some Harry Potter clothes. I love Harry Potter and when I saw them I had to pick up some Gryffindor pants that are perfect for lounging around the house in and for long car journeys. The pants were £10.

The last thing I picked up in Primark was a gentle face from ‘P.S. Love your skin.’ From what I have learned from the few times that I have tried it, it is very moisturising and does not irritate my skin. For only £2 it is not that bad.

So, that was it other than my lunch, a hot chocolate from ‘Costa’ and a chocolate cookie from ‘Greggs’.

Exam Advice!

Exam advice:

So, lately I have being doing a lot of exams and this has naturally caused a lot of stress. To combat this stress I have been researching how to make this process a little bit easier and less stressful. Here are four tips that I think will help everyone cope with their exams.

1) Be Prepared: when all of your teachers tell you to revise now, listen to them! Don’t leave it until the last minute to revise because you won’t remember the information and you won’t feel prepared. If you don’t feel prepared then you will feel stressed and that is never a good thing. Revise early!!!

2) Revise Properly: it’s all good saying that you will revise but if you don’t revise properly it won’t help. You need to have structured revision and make sure you find out how you learn, if you learn by re writing things or if you learn by making posters do that but find out what way works best for you. Also, make sure that you revise in a place were you won't get distracted. Do not have the television or a computer or YouTube on in the background as these will lead to procrastination.

3) Walk Away: If a specific subject is causing you to panic or you just don’t understand it don’t sit for three hours staring at it, walk away, do something else and ask a teacher or friend for help the next day.

4) Have a life: If you spend all of your time revising you will overload your brain and although you may learn some things but you will burn yourself out which can lead to problems when it comes to sitting down in the exam room. Also, when you leave school you will have missed out on so much stuff. Balance a social life with a work one.

I hope these have helped you with your exams, follow those four steps and I am sure that you will pass all of your exams now and in the summer.
