Last Thursday my school broke up because Friday was a bank holiday. So, to take advantage of this extra day off I went into Liverpool City Center with one of my best friends. I picked up a couple of things whilst we were out and we also went to the Liverpool World Museum.
The first place that we went to was Lush and I picked up my usual, Granny Takes a Dip and the Butterball:
After Lush we walked up to Waterstones. I cannot leave that store without buying a book and this time around I bought two. I already have the first book in the Gone series so I thought I would buy the next two:
When we had spent some time wandering around Waterstones we went to the World Museum to pass some time and I found it extremely interesting.
There are various mummies in the Ancient Egypt section and some of the Buddhist artifacts were just beautiful.
Furthermore, although I don't necessarily agree with the way that the insects are displayed some of the butterflies and dragonflies were stunning.
Also, there were a lot of fossils that were so well preserved that they looked fake, not a couple million years old.
Overall, I had a really great day and I would recommend the Museum to anybody who has the slightest interest in history.
